An inspiring look at the life and work of Servant of God, Bishop Guglielmo Giaquinta and the life changing work he has done to help us remember that we are each called to be a saint. Among other things, Bishop Giaquinta is known for founding the Pro Sanctity (For Holiness) movement in 1947, which is an international movement that promotes the universal call to holiness and reminds us that each and every one of us is called to be a saint. This ideal was later affirmed by Mother Church during Vatican II (Lumen Gentium, Chapter 5 is titled “Universal Call to Holiness”). Bishop Giaquinta also founded the Institute of the Apostolic Oblates, which is a secular institute of consecrated women who promote the universal call to holiness through the Pro Sanctity movement. The Apostolic Oblates are present in many countries across the world (the US, Italy, and India to name a few).
This brief film (only 29 minutes) is a great, encouraging view for the whole family.
