El Santo Sudario que se venera desde el siglo VII en la Catedral de Oviedo, en España, es el que, según el evangelio de San Juan cubrió la cabeza de Cristo en su crucifixión. A esta conclusión llegó un equipo de 40 científicos tras doce años de investigaciones. Esta tela, manchada de sangre, desvela ahora sus apasionantes secretos.
Utilizando las modernas técnicas que se aplican a la investigación criminológica, los expertos han descubierto en el Sudario de Oviedo significativas coincidencias con la Sábana Santa de Turín. Ambas telas están impregnadas del mismo tipo de sangre, contienen polen de plantas de Jerusalén y restos de mirra y áloes. Además conservan las perforaciones de la corona de espinas en los mismos puntos... Todo apunta a que el Sudario de Oviedo es una reliquia auténtica de la Pasión de Nuestro Señor. Además, el Sudario de Oviedo refuerza la autenticidad de la Sábana de Turín, a pesar de las pruebas del Carbono 14.
