Zack and Yalla had their fun interrupted because Mommy sent them to help a neighbor. Zack didn’t understand the sacrifice, but Mommy explained that often, doing what is right is hard. God wants us to trust His ways, and those ways are for everyone’s good. Once they were at Adah’s house and they saw how happy she was that they had helped her, they understood the lesson, and volunteered to get water for her.
 
While they were at the well, they encountered their friend, Mary. Mary talked to them about doing what is right, and following God’s plan, even when it seems hard. She shared with Zack that she will be traveling with Joseph to Bethlehem, and that it will be difficult, but it is both necessary and right.
 
Zack and Yalla learned that doing the right thing is sometimes not what we would choose for ourselves. But, by choosing to follow God’s plan, they discovered it is always rewarding, as they as they learned through their great day with their new friend, Adah.
