The Universal Letters often don't get as much attention as the Pauline Letters, but they present a beautiful outline of the three fundamental virtues of the Christian life: St. James writes about faith, St. Peter writes about hope, and St. John writes about love. These letters give a brief but moving exhortation on the theological virtues in the Christian life.
