The country of Iraq has often been at the forefront of American news and conversation during this century. Yet, the Iraqi people are not one homogenous group of people. In Iraq, there are Sunni Muslims, Shia Muslims, and Chaldean Christians (aka Chaldean Catholics). Each group is ancient yet quite different. Chaldean Catholics have been the minority in the Mesopotamia region for centuries, but their culture and faith have stood the test of time. Due to ongoing persecution, thousands of Iraqi Christians have moved to America this century. They love God, live right, work hard, and often have become proud Americans. Dlear and Bahar Kosa are two wonderful Chaldean Catholics, born and raised in northern Iraq, and now living and thriving in America. Their stories will bless you.
