How do you respond when someone offends you? Whether it’s something small like bumping into you and spilling coffee on your shirt…or something bigger and really hurts you.
Holding onto resentment is like poison in our bodies.
But there’s another option: forgiveness.
Forgiveness means choosing to not harm or seek revenge from the person who has harmed you. Forgiving isn’t forgetting, so we can still set boundaries and take action to not get hurt again.
Forgiving others allows us to lay down the weight we would otherwise hold onto. Forgiveness frees our hearts.
