Listening well to another involves intentional body language, silence, and verbal/physical cues that demonstrate understanding. Good listening also requires empathy, which allows us to listen without applying the filter of our own experience, judgment, values, and needs. Listening well to another opens a beautiful space for the Holy Spirit to work in the situation.
