How can the Catholic Church forgive sins?

When you “miss the mark” in life (and we all do!), how do you get back on track? God is ultimately the one who can truly give us forgiveness and restore us. And God has given this authority to the Church to help us on our journey to heaven. In confession, we are restored and put back into union with God, and that’s worth celebrating! Christianity isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being forgiven. Disciples of Jesus aren’t perfect, they’re forgiven.
