Are you ready for a behind-the-scenes look at what marriage counseling is REALLY like? In this episode, Chris is taking "Real Life" in Real Life Catholic to the next level. He and his wife, Natalie, got real, raw and vulnerable.
Natalie and Chris sat down with their friend, Dr. Jim Langley, to show what a typical marriage counseling session looks like. So many people are afraid to go to marriage counseling or they feel like going to counseling means their marriage is doomed, but it can be a super edifying experience!
A major theme in this episode is being comfortable being vulnerable with your spouse and overcoming fears. It is by overcoming these fears that you can communicate better with your spouse, have the freedom to work through past or present issues, and ultimately lead each other to Heaven. Chris and Natalie hope that by sharing their session with Dr. Jim, couples who are maybe afraid or on the fence about counseling will feel empowered to take the step in their marriage journey.
Just remember: be real with yourself, be real with each other, and WORK AT IT!
