“La leyenda cuenta que un monje español hizo la talla del Niño Jesús para que protegiera un monasterio cerca de Sevilla contra los moros que ocuparon la península ibérica durante muchos siglos. Al no poder tallar la cara en la figura, apareció frente al monje el Niño Jesús y le ayudó a terminar su obra. La estatua protegió no sólo el monasterio sino toda la península que más tarde fue liberada del poder musulmán”.
Este documental explica la apasionante historia del Niño Jesús de Praga. Viajaremos por los lugares relacionados con la famosa estatua, como la ciudad de Ávila, El Escorial y Praga, donde actualmente se expone.
De la corte española la estatua del Niño Jesús se trasladó a Praga, en manos de la muy devota María Manríquez de Lara, casada con el noble bohemio Vratislao de Pern_tejn. Su hija, Polixena de Lobkowicz, entregó la estatuilla a la comunidad de Padres Carmelitas Descalzos de Praga.
El documental está llevado por un Niño Jesús vivo que se mueve por las calles de España y de Praga.
