El matrimonio es más que la unión entre un esposo y una esposa; también es un sacramento, es decir, un signo externo, instituido por Cristo, que imparte la gracia transformadora de Dios. Los votos del Sacramento del Matrimonio son profundamente importantes porque la alianza de amor se expresa en los votos entre el esposo y la esposa, que se hacen un signo real y vivo del amor de Cristo por la Iglesia. Al demostrar el amor de Cristo, que es sacrificial, libre, fiel y fructífero, en tu relación con tu cónyuge, le ayudas a otros a experimentar la gracia y la presencia de Dios en el mundo. ¡Es por eso que es importante el matrimonio!
