Pope St. John Paul II is known as a great theologian, philosopher, and pastor. However, he was not only a great thinker but was also a man in tune with the arts, as demonstrated by his poetry and his work as a playwright. In this four-part series, Dr. Ben Akers and Dr. Scott Hefelfinger explore one of Pope John Paul II’s most artistic works, The Jeweler’s Shop, a play he wrote before he became pope. Explore the mind of this great artist under the tutelage of Dr. Akers and Dr. Hefelfinger as they unpack the wonderful teachings contained in The Jeweler’s Shop, which tells of the struggles and triumphs in the marriages of three couples.
We are also excited to share that Dr. Akers and Dr. Hefelfinger will be doing a review of the movie rendition of The Jeweler’s Shop.
