Building on the world of Peabody Award-winning writer Paul McCusker – author of The Adventures of Nick & Sam and The Virtue Chronicles – Welcome to Hope Springs brings the fictional town of Hope Springs to life through cinematic storytelling rooted in faith, family, and everyday adventure. Produced by the Audie Award-winning Augustine Institute Studios, Welcome to Hope Springs is the new multi-season audio drama for kids ages 8 to 12 and their families.
Set in the fictional mountain town of Hope Springs, Colorado, the story follows a close group of friends who spend their days at The Old Depot, a newly restored train station that quickly becomes their clubhouse and community hub. In the first season, a smoke-bomb prank at the depot’s grand opening sparks a mystery that soon stretches across the entire town. Stolen artifacts, shifting suspects, buried discoveries, and strange telegraph messages from a station master of the past pull the kids deeper. As they sort through clues from false leads and balance curiosity with responsibility, they learn to rely on honesty, courage, and one another when the truth is hardest to see.
This 10-episode season explores themes of friendship, virtue, and problem-solving through relatable characters and surprising moments. Whether they’re helping neighbors or investigating unexpected events, the kids gradually learn that their choices and relationships shape who they are becoming. Rooted in a Christian worldview, Welcome to Hope Springs offers meaningful moral lessons in a way that feels natural and genuinely fun for kids, all while giving parents easy openings for conversations about character and faith.
