Throughout history, people have lived under rulers they didn’t choose — some oppressive, some welcomed as liberators. From the Persian King Cyrus to the Allied forces in World War II, history shows us the deep human longing for a just and good ruler.
But no earthly kingdom is perfect. So whose kingdom are we really longing for? And if we could have a truly good and just king, wouldn’t we pray for His kingdom to come?
