What is mercy?
In this episode of What Catholics Believe, Sister Augusta (Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia) explains the true meaning of mercy, drawing from Scripture, the Catechism, and the rich tradition of the Church. We explore how mercy relates to charity, why it is at the very heart of the Gospel, and how God’s mercy responds to human sin and suffering.
You’ll also hear answers to common questions like:
- If God is merciful, why is there hell?
- Does God send people to hell?
- What is Divine Mercy, and is it something new?
- What did Jesus reveal to St. Faustina about His mercy?
Discover how God’s mercy is not weakness—but His powerful love reaching into our deepest need.
