Mary can’t assume herself into heaven, she doesn’t have that power. Therefore, the Assumption of Mary, body and soul in Heavenly glory highlights the power of God and Christ’s victory over sin and death for Mary’s soul.The result of sin is death and decay of the body. Mary has no sin and no stain of sin, therefore no decay of the body.
