Deborah has been a widow for over a long decade. Her husband Doug was a professional soccer player, and a true man among men. Naturally, she grieves her loss to this very day.
Humbly motivated to redeem her suffering, Deborah admirably embraced Ordo Viduarum, “Order of Widows” and founded “Widow Warriors” to aid other women carrying similar crosses. Widow Warriors supports recent widows in numerous ways noting there are more than 80 direct references to widows in Holy Scripture. And, of course, we can never forget that our Blessed Mother was widowed when Saint Joseph was called home to God.
