The Catholic Catechism states, “The Eucharist is ‘source and summit of the Christian life.’…’For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch’ (CCC 1324).” The Catechism further states, “The Sunday celebration of the Lord’s Day and his Eucharist is at the heart of the Church’s life. ‘Sunday is the day on which the paschal mystery is celebrated in light of the apostolic tradition’ (CCC 2177).” Father Fred Adamson, the former Vicar General of the Phoenix Diocese for 19 years, shares his humble journey to Holy Orders and his love of the Holy Eucharist, Jesus Christ’s physical presence on earth.
