This film tells the dramatic story of Lupe Valdes, a best-selling writer who investigates the apparitions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in search of inspiration for her next novel. Guided by an expert in sacred mysteries, she discovers the historical evidence of the mystical revelations of the Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary, meeting in the process with saints, murderers, exorcists, popes, presidents, conspirators, and encountering both miracles and evil crimes.

During her intense investigation, Lupe discovers the deep secrets of both the Heart of Jesus, and of her own heart that is afflicted by old wounds in need of healing.

This film is being released in conjunction with Church's celebration of the 350th anniversary of the visions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in 1675.
