The Catholic Faith. On Demand.
This week's exercises help you complete the process of "spiritual archeology" on your life's story. You will complete making the connections between all you have been praying about. You will also begin your Letter to Jesus which you will be able to read in your Whole-Life Confession. Be conscious of not allowing fear to de-rail you at this point in the process. Fear never comes from the Holy Spirit but from the one St. Ignatius calls the Enemy of Human Nature. Bending to fear will never lead you to peace but only increase your anxiety and rob you of hope. Reconfirm the time/day of your Whole-Life Confession this week and make a firm resolution to follow through with this graced experience.
The Night Vigil at the end of the week is listed as "optional." Many however find doing the vigils extremely helpful in entering more deeply into their own hearts. Please watch the video, Sheldon Sweeney—The Whole-Life Confession prior to beginning week two and also watch it again at the end of the week's exercises. Charlie's testimony will encourage you on your journey to your own Whole-Life Confession.
